Madagascar playing two friendlies in France

Madagascar will assemble in France on Monday for two friendly internationals as they prepare for the resumption of the African Nations Cup qualifiers in September.

The Malagasy squad will base themselves in Montdidier, some 100km from Paris, and take on Togo and Kosovo in warm-up internationals.

The match against Togo is on March 21 at Saint-Leu Forest and then three days later they go up against Kosovo in Franconville.

Twenty-one players were called up by coach Nicolas Dupuis, including returns to the squad for Sedera Randriamparany, who is based in Reunion, and striker Claudio Ramiadamanana, who plays in the amateur league in France.

But key components Carolus Andriamahitsinoro and Marco Ilaimaharitra are injured.

Madagascar are in Group A in the 2019 Nations Cup qualifiers and made a strong start by beating Sudan 3-1 away last June.
