Zambia set up women’s friendly

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has secured an international friendly match for the Zambia Women’s National Football Team to be played against the Malawi Women’s National Football Team in Lusaka on October 30.

To prepare for the match, coach Enala Phiri Simbeye has invited 23 players for a residential training camp which starts in Lusaka on Wednesday.

The friendly match is part of the Andrew Kamanga led administartion’s commitment to the development of women football in Zambia and to build a strong national team which will be a force to be reckoned with in Africa and beyond.

Recently, the Zambia Women’s Senior National Football Team hosted the Egyptian Women’s National Team in two friendly matches which were played at Sunset and Nkoloma Stadiums in Lusaka on 23rd and 25th September. Zambia won both matches by 1-0 scorelines through goals scored by Noria Sosala.
