Trio of coaches have big ambitions in Durban

In this episode of The COSAFA Show, we hear from three coaches as they prepare for the CAF Women’s Champions League | COSAFA qualifiers 2023 – James Sangala of Ntopwa Super Queens, Carol Kanyemba of defending champions Green Buffaloes and Young Buffaloes tactician Fisiwe Hlophe.

Former Malawi international Sangala is now leading Ntopwa, who will debut in the competition in Durban, with the South African coastal city a familiar home for the ex- defender after his time spent playing in the Premier Soccer League.

We also get the thoughts of Green Buffaloes coach Carol Kanyemba, who returns this year with the Zambians in the hope of back-to-back trophy wins.

She knows it is a tough road to the continental finals, with only one team from the region taking their place at the finals in Ivory Coast that are set for November.

Finally, we also speak with Coach Hlophe from Eswatini’s Young Buffaloes. They had a difficult debut in the tournament last year but are back and better equipped to deal with challenge.
