The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) President, Andrew Kamanga was recently in Zurich, Switzerland where he met the FIFA President Mr Gianni Infantino.
In a meeting held on October 3, 2018, Mr Kamanga and Mr Infantino discussed a wide range of issues relating to football development in the country.
“I can confirm that I have had a fruitful meeting with the FIFA president where we discussed issues surrounding the development of football in Zambia, in particular FIFA forward funding for new projects to be undertaken in the country over the next 4 years.”
FAZ has in the recent past introduced a wide range of initiatives aimed at improving football standards in the country using FIFA funds.
“We have the FIFA Grassroots Program where we have partnered with the Ministry of Sports and Ministry of Education in order to advance the game at youth level. It is my objective to ensure that we utilize FIFA funds in a transparent and progressive manner.”
