FAZ Technical Director off to Brazil for FIFA course

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Technical Director Lyson Zulu will be among 24 football brains selected across 211 FIFA Member Associations for the Technical Leadership Diploma program in Brazil.

The first leg of the 18-month course runs from May 11-16 at the world famed Granja Comary Training Centre in Teresópolis.

“I am delighted to share with you that you have been selected to participate in the first ever FIFA Technical Leadership Diploma. Our first cohort of participants has been chosen on a global basis with just 24 places allocated to Member Associations,” reads a letter signed by FIFA Head of Technical Leadership Jamie Houchen.

The program will be followed by three further onsite blocks with comprehensive distance and self-directed learning in between each block.

The leadership diploma is another step towards the introduction of an industry qualification for technical directors and leaders.

Zulu, a graduate of Loughborough and Bath Universities in England, has since left for Brazil where he will be flying the Zambian flag.
