Chaila back in Chipolopolo camp

Misheck Chaila has rejoined the Zambia national football team in Ndola, two days after he was released from camp along with ten other players.

Chaila, who scored the equaliser in Zesco United’s 2-1 win over Konkola Blades on Sunday, trained with the rest of the squad at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Monday.

Team Manager Stanley Kaseko told fazfootball.com that Chaila had been recalled as a standby player owing to an injury Clatous Chama picked up while playing for Zesco United against Konkola Blades.

Kaseko also revealed that Lewis Macha had been ruled out of the Nigeria game after he failed to recover from an injury he suffered last month.

Macha’s place in the squad will be taken by Hapoel Ra’anana striker Rodger Kola who is expected to join camp on Tuesday.

And team captain Rainford Kalaba joined camp on Monday evening while Chisamba Lungu is expected on Tuesday.

Stopilla Sunzu joins camp on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Kaseko further stated that coach Wedson Nyirenda will trim his squad for Nigeria on Thursday.
