Swaziland hire Dutch coach De Jongh

Swaziland have named Dutch coach Pieter de Jongh, who had a brief spell in the National First Division with FC Cape Town, as their new national team coach.

He was last working in Ulan Bator in Mongolia and his nomadic coaching career has taken him to Kenya and Rwanda.

De Jongh replaces Harries Bulunga as coach of Sihlangu as they look forward to the 2019 African Nations Cup qualifiers where Swaziland share the same group with Egypt, Niger and Tunisia.

The National football Association of Swaziland said he was picked from a list of four locals and 15 foreigners.

The 47-year-old De Jongh played at NAC Breda and Sparta Rotterdam in his playing days and was an assistant at AZ Alkmaar before setting off on his adventures, including clubs in Moldova and Hungary.
