The women’s competition resumes at the African Union Sports Commission (AUSC) Region 5 Youth Games in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe on Sunday, when Zimbabwe play South Africa (kick-off 15h30) and Botswana tackle Namibia (18h30), both at the Barbourfields Stadium.
That first game could be the pivotal fixture in the tournament, which sees the four sides all play one another in a round-robin format, with the side claiming the most points being named winners.
Both Zimbabwe and South Africa won their opening games on Friday as the host nation edged past Namibia 2-1 and the South Africans were more emphatic 3-1 victors over Botswana.
The loser of Sunday’s clash between the two sides who came up short on Friday will be out of the running for the title.
