Tough Under-20 World Cup draw for COSAFA sides

COSAFA sides South Africa and Zambia have received tough draws in the pool phase of the 2017 FIFA Under-20 World Cup to be staged in South Korea from May 20-June 11.

Recently crowned African Under-20 Championship winners Zambia take on Portugal, Iran and Costa Rica in Group C.

South Africa have a sterner test as they must play Italy, Uruguay and Japan in Group D, all three very tough opponents.

Of the other African qualifiers, Senegal are in Group F along with Ecuador, USA and Saudi Arabia, and will fancy their chances of advancing.

Guinea have a very difficult task against hosts South Korea, Argentina and England.

The top two teams of each group and the four best third-placed teams advance to the round of 16.
