Bafana Bafana have confirmed they will host Sao Tome e Principe at the FNB Stadium on Friday, March 27 as they resume their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification bid.
Bafana will be involved in a home and away double-header against the islanders, and will travel to Sao Tome for the away fixture on Tuesday, March 31.
Coach Molefi Ntseki will be eager for six points that would see his side take a giant step towards the continental finals in Cameroon next January/February.
The top two teams in Group C will qualify for the finals, and having beaten Sudan at home already, a pair of wins against Sao Tome e Principe could potentially mover Bafana six points clear of the North African side with only two rounds left to play. That is if Ghana get a pair of wins over Sudan as expected.
SAFA have also confirmed that Bafana’s home match against Ghana in the pool will be played on June 6, though the venue is yet to be finalised.
After that they will face a final qualifier in Sudan in September, though Ntseki will hope to have wrapped up qualifying by then.
