The South African National Beach Soccer team will be action soon as they prepare for an interesting year ahead. The team reported for camp on Tuesday 21 February in Durban, KwaZulu Natal for a two day training camp before heading out to Zanzibar Islands for an international friendly.
Beach Soccer has proven over the years to be huge fan favourite by beach goers as it allows for improvisation by players and challenges players to score from any position.
The game emphasises skill, agility and accuracy which are elements of any football match.
The South African National Beach Soccer team will face Zanzibar in an international friendly match this coming Sunday, 25 February to prepare for a tournament later this year which will be announced.
The team’s Head Coach Ntokozo Bengu has named a squad of 12 players from the SAFA Interprovincial teams who will represent the country in the friendly match.
