RIP: Ex-Chipolopolo, Nkana goalkeeper Mapulanga dies

Former Nkana Football Club goalkeeper Moses Mapulanga has died. He was 29.
Nkana announced the death of their former player on Thursday morning, as confirmed by Mapulanga’s father, Event.
“It’s with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our former goalkeeper Moses Mapulanga,” said the club on their official Facebook page.
“His father, Mr Event Mapulanga has confirmed the death of his son who died last night around 23:00hrs at Mazabuka General Hospital, in Mazabuka where he was admitted from Monday this week.”
Mapulanga left Nkana in December 2021.

At the height of his career, the late glovesman rose from the junior ranks to the Zambia national team and was part of the Chipolopolo squad at the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco.
