Mozambique to host TotalEnergies CAF U-20 AFCON | COSAFA Qualifier
The TotalEnergies CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations | COSAFA Qualifier, scheduled to be played from September 18-27, 2026, will now be staged in Mozambique due to logistical reasons.
The competition dates remain unchanged as the leading young talent from across the COSAFA region competes for continental qualification to the finals in Ghana next year.
COSAFA would like to thank the Mauritius Football Association and all stakeholders in Mauritius for the work that has already gone into preparations for the tournament and for their understanding regarding the change of host nation.
COSAFA also expresses its sincere appreciation to the Federação Moçambicana de Futebol and the relevant authorities and stakeholders in Mozambique for stepping in at short notice to host the competition and assist in ensuring the successful staging of the regional qualifier.
The tournament will determine the Southern African representatives at the TotalEnergies CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations, with the two finalists securing qualification for the continental finals.
