Mourinho’ makes guest appearance at Zambia Women’s Under-20 camp

Zambia Under-20 Women’s coach Charles Haluboono says the team will patch up their mistakes ahead of the return leg next week away to South Africa in the 2020 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

And Haluboono has expressed delight at Under-20 men’s national coach Oswald ‘Mourinho’ Mutapa making a guest appearance during the women’s training session.

Haluboono said the technical bench would tighten up the defence to ensure that they had better chances of winning the return leg.

“The main problem we had in the previous game was with the defence, we lacked covering but we have worked on it and we hope all will go on well this time around,” he said.

Meanwhile, he said Mutapa had joined the morning session to help seal some gaps as the team prepares for an important assignment.

Mutapa led the men’s Under-20 and Under-17 teams to COSAFA gold medals in 2019.

“This is a very good move from FAZ that has really helped us because we need well experienced coaches to help us improve in all areas,” he said.

Zambia will play South Africa next week in the return leg of the preliminary round of the 2020 FIFA World Cup.
The winner over the two legs will play either Botswana or Namibia in the next round.
