COSAFA Cup-winning coach Ricardo Mannetti has returned to his post to lead Namibia and is looking forward to taking the Brave Warriors to even greater heights.
Mannetti resigned after leading Namibia to their maiden Southern African championship in May, suggesting he wanted time away from the hot-seat.
But he has been enticed back and is now looking forward to building on the success of that COSAFA Cup victory.
“First it was two years and now four years and it is about improving this team and challenging the giants of African football,” Mannetti said.
“It will be a project and we can’t expect miracles. We need all the support we can get to move forward.
“I’m excited about this new journey but overall it is the continuation of the work we started two years ago and we want to keep on making this team better”.
Mannetti also revealed that Ronnie Kanalelo will be his assistant coach and will still beef up his backroom staff to emulate the COSAFA success.
“I am looking at having a second assistant coach who can also be the fitness coach because for us to challenge Africa we need to have more and do more and only then can we compete. I will be headhunting that person and reveal him soon.”
