Malawi hold Uganda in Kampala

COSAFA nation Malawi played to a 0-0 draw with East African side Uganda in their international friendly match in Kampala on Tuesday.

The result is the fifth draw in their last six games, with the other result a 1-0 win over Togo last September, meaning The Flames have gone almost a year without defeat.

It will be a good result for coach Ronny Van Geneudgen against a strong Uganda side that is 50 places above Malawi in the FIFA World Rankings.

Van Geneudgen has now tasted just three defeats in his 12 matches in charge of the side, bringing stability to the national team.
It will be good preparation for the COSAFA Cup tournament that will take place in South Africa from May 27 to June 9.
