
Lishoeshoe to meet Sundowns in CAF U17 GIFT Zimbabwe 2025 final
Lesotho’s Lishoeshoe booked their place in the final of the CAF Under-17 Girls Integrated Football Tournament (GIFT) Zimbabwe 2025 after defeating Namibia’s Okakarara Golden Ladies 4-0 in their final Group B match at Ngoni Stadium on Monday.
The victory made it three wins from three for Lishoeshoe, who top the pool and will meet the winner of Group A, South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns, in Thursday’s final.
That titanic clash will see the two best teams in the competition face off in what promises to be a fascinating battle.
Mampona Lekenyane scored a brace for Lishoeshoe in the win over Okakarara Golden Ladies, with Nteboheleng Sooane and Lerato Sethubatha also finding the net.
Zambia’s Aguila Stars came from two goals down to defeat South Africa’s Refilwe FC 4-3 in the other Group B clash on Monday to secure second place in the pool with six points from their three matches.
Pretty Modika and Linamandla Bahlehle scored for the South African side in the first half, with Thando Mndaweni adding their third goal in the second half.
Serah Musonda netted a brace, while Luyando Banda also scored twice to seal victory for the Zambian side.

CAF introduced the GIFT U17 tournament to give club teams in this age group the opportunity to compete against their peers across their region, complementing the events already staged for national teams.
CAF has made the growth of women’s football a key aspect of its development agenda, and this tournament provides young players with the chance to showcase their skills and gain experience.
