Gaebolae confident ahead of Zimbabwe clash

Botswana coach Tapaphiwa Gaebolae is confident ahead of Under-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe.

Gaebolae has named a young squad that mostly played in the inaugural COSAFA Under-17 tournament which was held in Mauritius, where they finished in fourth position

“It will be difficult, but I know I’m capable and also believe in my team,” Gaebolae said previously.
She also said preparations were not easy as the players had to be with their families for the festive season.

“I am happy because most of the players played in Botswana games, which were held in December. We had two practice games against a local team and our Under-20s, which is also in camp.

“Our intension is to finish off the game in our home ground before going for the return leg, which will be played in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.”

The game will be played this Friday under floodlights. The victorious team between Botswana and Zimbabwe will take on the winner between Djibouti and Morocco.
