Four players from champions Zesco United have been added to Zambia’s provisional 2018 COSAFA Cup team that regroup’s in Lusaka on May 21.
Striker Lazarus Kambole leads the quartet from the 2017 FAZ Super Division champions.
Kambole is enjoying a great form for both club and country in 2018 with four league goals, three in the CAF Champions League and another three in Chipolopolo colours since making his international debut at 2018 CHAN in Morocco in January.
Midfielder John Chingandu including defenders Bornwell Silengo and Shemmy Mayembe complete the list of Zesco call-ups for the tournament to be held in South Africa from May 27 to June 9.
Also back in the fold is Zambia captain and Zanaco defender Ziyo Tembo following his recent recovery from Malaria that saw him miss last weekís training camp.
Coach Beston Chambeshi has further bolstered his defence with the recall of Buildcon defender Isaac Shamujompa.
Making way for the arrivals are Power Dynamos goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga, National Assembly striker Peter Mwangani including the Green Buffaloes attacking duo of Diamond Chikwekwe and Youremember Banda.
Midfielder’s Jacob Ngulube of Nkana and Noel Nyirenda from Nkwazi have also been dropped.
Zambia will enter the COSAFA Cup at the quarterfinal stage on June 2 when they play Namibia at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Both sides were handed preliminary round byes.
