Fixtures released for CAF U17 GIFT Zimbabwe 2025 in Harare

The fixtures have been released for the second edition of the Confédération Africaine de Football’s (CAF) Under-17 Girls Integrated Football Tournament (GIFT), which will be hosted in Harare, Zimbabwe from 8–18 December 2025.

All matches will be played at the Ngoni Mwos Stadium, with every fixture broadcast live via CAF TV and COSAFA’s YouTube Channel.

The tournament, designed to strengthen the development pathway for young female footballers, brings together eight clubs and academies from six COSAFA nations.

The competition format places the teams into two groups of four, with the top team in each pool advancing to the final on 18 December.

Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa open Group A against Luwinga Academy of Malawi on Monday, 8 December at 12:00 local time (10:00 GMT).

That will be followed by a second fixture in the pool later in the day between hosts Mpopoma Sports Academy from Zimbabwe and Otjiwarongo Sports Academy from Namibia (kick-off 15:00 local time / 13:00 GMT).

Group B gets under way the following day as South African side Refilwe FC take Lishoeshoe from Lesotho at 12:00 local time (10:00 GMT). The second match later in the day sees Aguila Stars from Zambia face off against another Namibian side in Okakarara Golden Ladies (kick-off 15:00 local time / 13:00 GMT).

The fixtures continue in a round-robin format, with the top teams in each pool facing off in the final.
The second, third and fourth-placed teams also take on their counterparts in the other pool to determine the final classification from 1-8.

Rest days are scheduled on 10, 13 and 16 December to ensure player welfare and competitive balance.

CAF introduced the GIFT competition to give Under-17 club teams meaningful international exposure and ensure girls in this age group have access to structured, competitive football.
The initiative forms part of CAF’s wider commitment to accelerating the growth of the women’s game across the continent, providing both development opportunities and a platform for young talent to shine.

The 2025 edition in Harare is expected to build on the success of this year’s inaugural tournament that was played in January 2025 in Tanzania and won by JKT Queens, reflecting CAF’s ambition to grow regional competitions and expand participation in youth football for girls across Africa.
