The fixtures are out for the inaugural 2019 COSAFA Women’s Under-20 Championship that will be staged in Nelson Mandela Bay from August 1-11, pitting the best young players in the region against one-another.
The majority of the games will be played at theGelvandale Stadium, bar two pool matches and the third-place play-off and final.
The competition gets under way when Namibia tackle Mozambique in a Group A clash on August 1, which will also create a slice of history as the first match in a COSAFA competition at this age-group level.
It will be followed later in the day by a mouth-watering clash in the same pool as hosts South Africa take on Zimbabwe at 14h00.
Botswana and Tanzania get their Group B campaign under way a day later at 11h00, while Zambia and Eswatini will hope for a positive start when they clash at 14h00.
The format of the competition will see two games in each pool on successive days, with the final matches in each group to kick-off at the same time.
Group A will conclude on August 5 at 10h00 and Group B will finish the next day at 12h00. TheWolfson Stadium will be used as a second venue. The top two teams in each pool advance to the next stage, with the semifinals to be played on August 8 at 10h00 and 14h00, both at the Gelvandale Stadium.
The third-place play-off is on August 10 and the final will kick-off at 11h00 on August 11.
