The fixtures have been released for the COSAFA Women’s Under-17 Championship that will be staged as part of the Region 5 Games Lilongwe 2022 from December 1-10.

The competition was originally TO be played as a five-team single pool round-robin tournament, but the late entry of Comoros means the six sides have been split into two pools.

It will get underway when defending champions Zambia take on the team they beat in last year’s final, Botswana, in Group B on December 1 at 12h00 CAT.

That will be followed the same day by hosts Malawi making their debut in the competition against South Africa in Group A (15h00 CAT).

There will be further rounds of matches on December 3 & 5, before the top two teams in each pool contest the semifinals. The winner of Group A will take on the victor in Group B, and vice-versa.

There will be a third-place play-off held on December 10 at 18h30 CAT, with the final to be staged at 21h00 CAT that same evening.

All matches will be streamed live on COSAFA.TV and FIFA+.
