Fixtures confirmed for CAF Women’s Champions League | COSAFA Qualifier Botswana 2026
The fixtures have been confirmed for the CAF Women’s Champions League | COSAFA Qualifier Botswana 2026, which will be staged in Gaborone from August 20-29.
Eight teams will compete for regional honours, with all matches scheduled to be played at GU Stadium and broadcast live on FIFA+ and COSAFA’s YouTube channel.
Group A will get the competition under way on Thursday, August 20, when Zambia’s ZESCO Ndola Girls face Herentals Queens of Zimbabwe at 12h00 CAT (10h00 GMT). Hosts Gaborone United will then open their campaign against Lesotho Defence Force Ladies at 15h00 CAT (13h00 GMT).
The first Group B matches will be played the following day, with Mozambique’s Costa do Sol taking on Malawi’s Silver Strikers at 12h00. Two-time regional champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies of South Africa will then meet Eswatini representatives Nsingizini Hotspurs at 15h00.
Group A will continue on August 22 as LDF Ladies face ZESCO Ndola Girls before Gaborone United take on Herentals Queens.
The second round of Group B matches will follow on August 23, with Nsingizini Hotspurs meeting Costa do Sol and Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies facing Silver Strikers.
The final Group A matches will be staged on August 24. Herentals Queens will play LDF Ladies at 12h00, before Gaborone United face ZESCO Ndola Girls in what could be a decisive encounter at 15h00.
Group B will conclude on August 25, when Silver Strikers take on Nsingizini Hotspurs, followed by Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies against Costa do Sol.
The top two teams in each pool will advance to the semi-finals on August 27. The Group B winners will face the Group A runners-up in the first semi-final at 12h00, while the Group A winners will meet the Group B runners-up at 15h00.
The two losing semi-finalists will contest the third-place play-off at 11h00 on August 29, with the tournament final scheduled for 14h00 later that day.
