The COSAFA family is profoundly sad to learn of the passing of former Lesotho national team coach and technical director Seephephe Matete.

‘Mochini’, as he was affectionately known, was an icon in Lesotho football and led the national team at the 2015 COSAFA Cup, part of a stellar coaching career that will be long remembered and gave rise to so many excellent players.

We extend our sincere condolences to the Lesotho Football Association and the entire football fraternity in the Mountain Kingdom for this sad loss. May he Rest in Peace.
