Comoros name 25-man squad for Afcon qualifiers

The Comoros Islands have named a 25-man squad as they bid to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations finals for the first time later this month.

They effectively need win only one of their last two Group G matches — against Togo on March 25 in Moroni and against Egypt on March 29 in Cairo — to ensure their progress to the finals in Cameroon next year.

Coelacanths coach Amir Abdou has Fouad Bachirou and Faïz Selemani making their return after injury but 33-year-old captain Kassim Abdallah misses out.
Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël goalkeeper Moyadh Housseni is called up for the first time.
