South Africa’s senior and junior national teams face a busy month of March with key games for all involved.
First in action will be the South African Under-17 Women’s national team, Bantwana, who will be up against their counterparts from Nigeria in an Under-17 FIFA Women’s World Cup Jordan 2016 qualifier.
The first leg clash will be played at the Abuja National Stadium in Nigeria on Saturday, March 12. The winner of the tie will qualify for Jordan 2016.
South Africa received a bye in the preliminary round, and then got a walkover in the first round after Zambia withdrew from the qualifiers citing financial constraints.
The tournament will be held in Jordan from September 30 to October 21.
Bafana Bafana will then follow with an away clash to Cameroon in a Gabon 2017 AFCON qualifier.
The match will be played at Stade Limbe Omnisport in Limbe, Cameroon on Saturday, March 26.
On the same day, Bantwana will host Nigeria at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa starting at 14h00 so fans can watch this match and follow up with the Bafana Bafana encounter in Limbe.
A day later the South African Under-23 Men’s National Team will be away to Brazil in an international friendly match.
Owen da Gama’s charges will face up against the Olympic Games hosts at the Rei Pele Stadium in Maceio, Alagoas, Brazil.
Bafana Bafana will complete the March activities when they host Cameroon in the return leg on Tuesday, March 29 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
