Botswana COSAFA Under-17 squad announced

Botswana coach Itumeleng Duiker has announced his 20-player squad for the COSAFA Under-17 Championships on Wednesday after months of preparations.

The Young Zebras are scheduled to depart for Mauritius on Friday ahead of the regional showpiece competition runs from July 19-29.

Duiker says he is happy with the team’s preparations and the friendly games they played against eSwatini and Lesotho as his team managed to gain exposure against international opponents.

Duiker told the media in a press conference that his target is to survive the group stages and then go all out to the final.

Botswana captain Larona Modisaemang added all the players are excited and looking forward to representing the nation.

Botswana has been drawn in Group A against hosts Mauritius, Namibia and Seychelles.
