Angola have exited the African Nations Championship after a 4-2 loss to DR Congo in Rwanda on Thursday.
The COSAFA side have now lost their opening two games of the tournament after an earlier 1-0 defeat to Cameroon, and are out of contention for the quarterfinals.
DR Congo, winners in 2009 and among the pre-tournament favourites again, raced into a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Nelson Munganga, Elia Meschak and Jonathan Bolingi.
Gelson reduced the deficit for Angola, but they fell further behind again as Merveille Bope added a fourth for the Congolese. Yano then struck a consolation for Angola.
The southern African side finish their campaign in Rwanda when they take on Ethiopia on Monday.
