LISTEN! Africa Cup of Nations is ready for lift-off!

The Africa Cup of Nations finals in the Ivory Coast gets under way on Saturday and there will be five teams from the COSAFA region participating. We speak to a number of them on The COSAFA Show ahead of their title challenge.

We will hear from Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos and star player Percy Tau ahead of their departure for west Africa. Broos was an AFCON winner in 2017 with Cameroon and he discusses that triumph and what he can draw from that experience this time round.

Tau is one of only three South African players in their squad to have been to the Cup of Nations finals before, and has been in excellent form for Al Ahly this season. He is a key player.

We also hear from Zambia coach Avram Grant following their draw with Cameroon this week as he looks ahead to the finals and assesses his group.
Namibia go into the finals having earned a reputation as a tough team to beat. They showed that again with a 0-0 draw away in Ghana this week and he talks about that fixture and how his side might go in the Ivory Coast.

Finally, we catch up with Gambia coach Tom Saintfiet, a coach who is no stranger to Southern Africa having led several COSAFA nations in the past. He has been on a fantastic journey in west Africa and shares his experiences with COSAFA teams and more.
