The media accreditation procedure for the FIFA Confederations Cup South Africa 2009 has been extended until 9 March 2009. However, it is important to note that the process to apply can take some time and that applicants are strongly advised not to leave their requests to the last minute. Applications may be made exclusively via the FIFA Media Channel. Attached you will find a guide on how to apply for access to the FIFA Media Channel and how to access the accreditation forms once you are in the FIFA Media Channel. Please note that applications on paper or by email cannot be accepted. Successful applicants will be notified and provided with further information in due course. All applications are subject to confirmation. Also, please be advised that international applicants are responsible for their own visas. Media representatives who have not already registered for the FIFA Media Channel are requested to do so at http://media.fifa.com as early as possible. Please note that the procedure to accept your request will be quicker if you provide an e-mail address from your media organisation or a letter from your media organisation stating that you will work for them at this event. Please note only registered individuals can apply for accreditation to FIFA events. If you have any questions related to the FIFA Media Channel registration, please send an e-mail to: mediachannel@fifa.org <mailto:mediachannel@fifa.org> . If you have questions related to the media accreditation procedure, please send an e-mail to: FCCmedia-accreditation@fifa.org <mailto:FCCmedia-accreditation@fifa.org> .
